Environmental Conservation

Our programs are countering climate change, environmental protection, global warming, conservation, and mitigation-contributing to the UN’s target of net zero & resolving emissions. We are obliged to contribute towards our nature. There are numerous programs we have initiated to participate in and educate the public about the value of conservation. These include Renewable Energy, Forestry Management, Soil, Air, Water & landscaping, encouraging planting, and managing Model Forests and countering Problems Caused by Wastewater, and all sorts of wastes to protect our Lakes and Rivers, Wastes and Garbage management in slum areas and highly density communities.

Urban Greening, Landscapes and Beautification

Urban greening incorporates green spaces and elements into urban environments and infrastructure, such as; streets, cities, roofs and walls. Following the principles of landscapes and design. Urban greening techniques can make up a part of green infrastructure.

Studies show that urban greening is instrumental in reducing heat in urban areas, contributing to the health and economic impacts resulting from the urban heat and island effect.

Domestic Sewage:

We engage communities and policymakers on countering sewage. (Public engagement to improve health & hygiene) to combat water pollution, Every Home a Fruit Tree program, and Capacity building programs on conservation.

The GCT Support of the Green Cities’ initiatives involves building partnerships and networks with City authorities and mayors, town clerks, education institutions as well as faith-based organizations engaging them in climate change programs.

The program educates the public about the significance of managing the wastes through drainages which end up in lakes and rivers with contaminated water as a result of huge piles of wastes. The causes of water pollution and its effects on vulnerable communities need urgent intervention. Poorly managed human excreta are causing several detrimental consequences on our environment and polluted scenery is harming thousands of people’s health severely in urban settings.

We emphasize and encourage stakeholders at all levels the need to create more shade, maintain cleaner air and beautiful spaces, to rebuild communities beneficial to humans and the environment. This is the importance of urban green spaces in the development of smart cities.

The GCT campaign for urban greening focuses on various types of city designs, sizes and natural landscapes – and partners with stakeholders in finding ways to adopt unique urban environment methods that contribute to green, air cleanliness, soil preservation, and sustainability of nature.

Sustainable Agriculture

After Covid 19 crisis, GCT was moved to re-examine its community approach. It’s globally known that the only way humans in crisis can sustainably survive is when they have food, shelter, and medicine as well as basic education.

In this case: We have embarked on engaging farmers on proper farming methods, caring about the food we eat and what we produce for economic purposes, to feed the world while preserving our soil, water and air. Primary products include; Cassava Growing, Macadamia Nuts, Butternut squash Pumpkin, fruits, Avocadoes and Cocoa while we use GCT platforms to market farmers’ high-quality produce to our global partners.
